Nearly 5,000 gallons of milk spilled after truck crashes near Cloverdale — Half Moon Bay Community news

A milk tanker truck crashed on westbound Highway 128 near Cloverdale, sending nearly 5,000 gallons of milk onto the roadway on Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol. Around 3:10 p.m., patrol officers responded to an overturned tanker truck on Highway 128, east of Mazzini Road. They found the milk tanker truck lying on its side, with approximately 4,800 gallons of milk spilling onto the freeway and into a nearby creek Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and no other vehicles were involved. The truck initially blocked the roadway in both directions, but one-way traffic control was quickly established while crews worked to clear the scene, the CHP s Santa Rosa area-office said on social media. The highway was fully reopened around 7:50 p.m.
